Journal Entries

October 21, 2010                                4:30 p.m.—5:00 p.m.                          Time: 30 minutes
Last day of being inexperienced in driving class… I’m kind of nervous actually sense I don’t enjoy the actual experience anyways. I’ve also learned that these journal things are harder to type than they look… My momma made me drive, unwillingly, all the way to McDonald’s to get some sweet tea as a “relaxer for the nerves”.  It takes fifteen minutes to go up and down these country roads of Appling all the way to “town”. I think I’m ready.

First Day of School! Not exactly the most exciting class in the world, but not dreadfully boring. I’m the second oldest person in the room, the first being a twenty three year old who rides his bike around Evans. The class consists of three days one weekend and another three days the next weekend.
Here’s my schedule:
 Friday: 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m (straight after school)
Saturday: 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m (A killer for having to wake up so early on a Saturday)
Sunday: 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Rushed straight there after church)
I’m not so excited about tomorrow after working midnight shifts twice this week, so I’m hoping for luck in the morning. I got an 82 on my quiz today and my mom took me to safe traffic before she let me drive home. We mostly learned about four way stops, light stops, and what not’s. We also started the class off with introducing ourselves and rating what our driving skills were, ten being the highest and one being the lowest. I gave myself a two, for being able to at least function the car in dire emergency. Although I don’t even think I deserved that. Most kids in the class gave themselves a number higher than five. I guess, I wasn’t as experienced as they were.

So Groggy… but I’m off to class. Wish me luck.
Okay,  I’m back. And I GOT A 100 ON MY TEST!!! Whoohoo! It’s pretty exciting I know.
